Happy Birthday to Ezra

Time flies, everything just like happened not long ago, and now, my baby boy is one-year-old!

Because of Ezra's great grandma went for cataract surgery on 22/8/08, so we celebrated the 1st birthday for Ezra 1 week earlier at Teow Chew Restaurant. We booked 4 tables and invited our direct family (Lee & Lai family) to attend the dinner.

As for birthday cake, we want to buy something that Ezra like and finally we decided to buy him a football cake. Why? Because Ezra likes to play ball. The first word that he can pronounce correctly is "ball".

Actually I like this cake too! Thanks for Gu Poh's contribution!

Last but not least, thanks for the big "ang pou" and also the birthday presents from all of you!

Smile

How sweet is the smile of the little one! They are so pure and innocent, they only smile when they feel happy, and that’s why their smile is so real.

Sometimes, after a tiring working day, when you reach home and see your little one greet you by door with a smile on his face, all your tiredness, unhappiness and stress will just gone away!

Thank you, my little darling, your smile has brightened my life!

Lousy Boss

Everybody can be a boss but not everybody knows how to be a boss. I have come across some bosses that don’t really know how to be a boss.

These bosses don’t have clear direction, thousand minds, keep information secretive, fussy over small matters, always last minutes, not punctual to appointment, no confident, stingy and etc. They tend to be very friendly to you before you join and they even promise heaven and earth to you but after you join them will be a different story. The worst part is, they will just simply use their authority as a boss to instruct the staff to do somethings that are beyond their job function.

Over the years, I used to work under few lady bosses. I thought that lady boss is difficult to deal with because they are fussy, moody and calculative. Until recently then only I discovered, sometimes a male boss can be even worst than a lady boss.

We cannot choose the boss but we can choose the company. My advice for the youngster is, don’t ever go for those small company especially those “China man” company that are running like family business, because your future is not guarantee! They will only treat you as “family member” when they need you to contribute, however, the benefits will always go to the “real” family member. Think wise, act wise!
